A beautiful, sunny,
nice, quiet day at sea today. And, boy,
did we ever need it. After touring five
full days in a row, it was nice to sleep in a bit later and do absolutely
nothing today. We ate breakfast and
walked around the ship a bit. After straightening
up the cabin a bit, I went up on deck,
found a nice lounge off in a quiet spot and read for the entire afternoon. OK…I napped too!!! It’s hard not to nap with the gentle sway of
ship. The Mediterranean was absolutely
calm all day and it was gorgeous with the sun shining on it. Bill spent part of the day in the casino (no wins yet :( ) and just enjoying the peace and quiet.
Before dinner, the
ship passed the Rock of Gibraltar. What
a thrill!!! It’s not as big as I
imagined but it was still a momentous occasion.
Had dinner in the
Crown Grill tonight, one of the specialty restaurants on the ship. Great steaks and absolutely fabulous onion
soup…..YUM!!!! Afterwards, Name that
Tune in the lounge. What a great day!!!
