Headed to the Princess Mt. McKinley Lodge - Thursday, May 28

This morning we're headed to the Princess Mt. McKinley Lodge in Trapper Creek, AK, about 2 hours away by bus.  Another beautiful day in Alaska!  And Denali is out again!  We're beginning to call this our "lucky trip".

That puff of white at the very top of the mountain is not a cloud but snow being blown off the top.  It was super windy up there!

Checked in, had a quick lunch and headed out on our Covered Wagon Excursion.  It was so much fun!  Bill and I were the only ones on the trip so we had our own private excursion!   The horses were beautiful and the couple who ran the tour were so nice.  We stopped first at an overlook to view the mountains, Denali, the valley below and Ruth Glacier.

Then it was on to pan some gold, have some s'mores over the campfire, try on some moose antlers and kiss a reindeer!

Then back to the lodge where we met with our tour group for a nice happy hour at the outdoor fire pits.

After a late dinner, it was off to bed to dream about Alaska...
